Neu: AR Copy Paste App Real and Virtual Objects

For Android and iOS.

Finally a practical use for AR

AR Copy Paste is an application that allows users to take photos of an object in the real world and then the object will be selected so that it will not blend with other objects including the background. Then AR Copy Paste will drop the selected object into an image into a computer program according to the camera action on the user’s smartphone.

Normally the selection process takes a few minutes, but with this application, the object selection process only takes a few seconds.

Application for the new virtual world

The AR Copy Paste trick works online in the virtual world as well. Taking a screenshot of a Casino neu logo for example and blend it in with surrounding digital objects. This makes it much easier for casino brand creation.

How does AR Copy Paste Work?

The designer of this application uses two types of open-source technology so that the application can work optimally, namely Boundary-Aware Salient Object Detection (BASNet) and Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT).

The technology will detect objects in the real world and isolate the image so that the image background is automatically removed. BASNet allows the application to detect objects and remove backgrounds, while SIFT matches the coordinates on the phone to the computer screen, to ensure objects are placed where the user wants them to be.
